How to settle your utility bills in Hong Kong quickly, and easily.

Typically in Hong Kong, you need to settle your electricity bills once every one or two months, water bills every four months, and gas bills every two months. You can pay your bills in a variety of ways:

In person:

  • By cash at any of the utility’s customer service centre, post office or Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
  • By mailing a cheque to the utility
  • If you have a utility bill with a barcode or QR code, you can pay the bill at the cashier at most of the convenience stores

Through digital:
You can always pay bills online using your HSBC bank account or credit card, through HSBC Personal Internet Banking. If you are on the go, you can even use the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app to make instant payments at any time, from anywhere.
