When will I receive my Apple Watch?
Once your application is approved, your watch will be delivered to you in about 1 month, subject to Apple Watch inventory availability.
Can I join the programme without an iPhone?
Currently you can only join the programme with your iPhone. We plan to make the programme available to Android devices soon.
Can I apply for more than one HSBC Life Well+ programme?
As the policyholder of all the eligible policies, you can apply for the HSBC Life Well+ programme once only.
How will HSBC Life track my average steps per day?
Every time you log on to the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app on your iPhone, your daily steps are synchronised from the Health app on your iPhone. Please note that manually added steps will be excluded. You're recommended to regularly log on to the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app to synchronise your step data.
Can I use other devices for step tracking?
While we recommend you to use your Apple Watch or iPhone, you can use any other step tracking devices that are compatible with the Health app on your iPhone. Pair up your step tracking device with your Health app and then connect your Health app with the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app, so your steps can be synchronised for the programme.
How and when do I need to synchronise my steps with the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app? What if I haven’t done so before the cutoff date?
We recommend you to log on to the HSBC HK Mobile Banking app on your iPhone regularly. Your step data will be synchronised with us automatically every time you do so. To ensure your steps are counted, please log on before the 15th of each month. Failure to do so may affect your redemption or RewardCash payout, and your benefits may not be paid even if you meet your step target.
Can I transfer my programme membership or benefits to another person?
You're not allowed to transfer your programme membership to another person.
I applied for my life insurance policy more than 3 months ago but it was issued within the last 3 months. Can I still join the HSBC Life Well+ programme?
Yes, you can still join the programme as long as your policy is eligible and the policy issue date is within the last 3 months.
The Apple Watch delivered is defective. What should I do? Will it affect the programme?
If you find your Apple Watch received is defective within 14 calendar days of your Apple Watch delivery, you should approach Apple’s technical support - the Genius Bar in any of Apple’s retail stores for diagnosis of your Apple Watch. Apple may request you to present the proof of purchase, which will be provided in the welcome email after your watch is delivered.
Subject to the diagnosis result, you may be given a case ID if a replacement of your Apple Watch is required. You're then required to call us at (852) 2583 8000 to arrange your Apple Watch replacement. HSBC Life will arrange with Apple to collect the defective watch from you and rearrange the delivery of a new Apple Watch. If your Apple Watch is found defective after 14 calendar days, you'll need to resolve that with Apple in accordance with Apple’s warranty policy. An extension of your programme start date may be granted at HSBC Life’s discretion.
