How to qualify

HSBC Premier Elite is a privileged and personalised service for clients who maintain Total Relationship Balance of at least HKD7.8 million with us in Hong Kong. Terms and conditions apply.

What counts towards my 'total relationship balance'?
We count the following assets towards your total relationship balance (TRB) with us:
  • Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi or foreign currency deposits
  • Market value of local and overseas securities, unit trusts, bonds, certificates of deposit, equity-linked investments, structured notes, stocks or unit trusts under our Monthly Invest Plans, and Wayfoong Statement Gold
  • Deposit amounts from Deposit Plus and Structured Investment Deposit holdings
  • Utilised lending facilities excluding mortgages and outstanding amounts on credit cards
  • Life insurance with a savings or investment component2
  • HSBC MPF balances and HSBC ORSO Defined Contribution Scheme balances which are administered by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking orporation Limited
  • The minimum total relationship balance, which refers to your rolling average over the past 3 months
To determine your overall TRB in sole capacity, we'll include in our calculation the applicable TRB of any personal sole accounts you hold or registered with same joint accountholders under the same names and identity numbers. There may be a slight delay as we'll need time to process the value of certain investment transactions (such as initial public offering subscriptions for securities, bonds, open-end funds and certificates of deposits) and life insurance policies to be included in your TRB. This may affect the TRB you hold in our records until fully processed.
