How to use FPS

Using HSBC HK Mobile Banking app

Log on and tap the menu on the top left to find 'Make a transfer' under 'FPS'.

If you haven't already set a default debit account and small-value payment limit, tapping this will take you to the set-up page.

(Mobile Security Key or Security Device might be required to complete the transaction.)

Tap 'Select payee'. Enter the person's Proxy ID (mobile number, email address or FPS Identifier) and continue.

Tap 'Enter amount', type in the amount you want to transfer, and continue.

If you want, you can also add a message to your payee.

If the payee’s name and the transaction details are correct, select ‘Confirm’.

Congratulations, that's all you need to do to send money with FPS.

If you want the option of transferring via an account number instead of a Proxy ID, you can go back to the menu and choose 'Transfer'.

'Transfer' will also allow you set future-dated payments, as well as add recipients to 'My payees'.
